In this tutorial, we’ll be making a quick drawing effect on photos. Some of the tricks you’ll learn are to do with adding adjustments, using filters etc. Great tutorial for the lazy ones that just can’t be bothered sketching for real.
Step 1
First off, Duplicate the image. Then go to Filter > Sketch and add the Graphic Pen effect.Stroke Length: 15
Light/Dark Balance: 50
Stroke Direction: Right Diagonal
Step 2
Set the Opacity to 31%.
Step 3
Duplicate the background image (main image) and add Filter > Artistic > Poster Edges.
You can now unhide the previous layer after finishing this this step.
Step 4
Righ Click on the layer > Flatten Image and go to create new fill or adjustment layers > add Curves and set the anchors in the same spot as I did. Mirror the screenshot below.
Step 5
Go to create new fill or adjustment layers > add Brightness & Contrast, make the Brightness +76 and Contrast +12 .
Step 6
Right click Flatten Image and make Brightness -10 with max contrast +100.
Final Result
