11 Hollywood Stars who Started with a Skin and @#@# show

Most Hollywood celebrities are very careful with their public image, and wouldn’t step near a pornography set; they have enough problems to deal with as it is. Whether it’s a nasty rant on-set, a leaked photo from an affair in Cancun, or a disastrous trip to Arby’s, having one’s carefully constructed image sullied in the public eye can be disastrous. It’s no surprise they’ve tried to hide it, but the truth is some very well known celebrities got their start in porn. Our own original series, “Blue Movies” doesn’t mind as much, and draws inspiration from those celebrities who have gone “Blue.” In that vein, here are 14 celebs, be they action heroes or Oscar winners, that got their start in show business by getting busy.

1. JACKIE CHAN

Before he was jumping across roofs and fighting the Yakuza, Jackie Chan was performing stunts of another kind. “I had to do anything I could to make a living 31 years ago, but I don’t think it’s a big deal, even Marlon Brando used to be exposed in his movies,” Chan says. “The porn movie at that time was more conservative than the current films.” They might have been more conservative, but they were still alluring, and they still starred Jackie. For those interested, Google “All In The Family 1975.”
2. SYLVESTER STALLONE

Battling Apollo Creed wasn’t the first time Rocky had to perform under pressure. Most people know Sylvester Stallone’s nickname is “The Italian Stallion” but most people don’t know where he got it. Sly confessed in a Playboy interview that he was once paid 200 dollars to star in an X-Rated film titled “Party at Kitty and Stud’s.” For those not willing to track down a copy here’s the best line, spoken by Kitty to Stallone: “ I’ll be velvet-mouthed on your shank of love.” Improvised dirty-talk FTW.

3. FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA

The Multiple-Academy Award winning director of such films as “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now” found an early career making risqué fare of a much different nature. While attending graduate school at UCLA Coppola worked with Roger Corman, low-budget movie master, and in several softcore porn titles. Too bad he was never able to give Stallone a call, we hear they always wanted to work together.
4. CAMERON DIAZ

Long before she got launched into stardom with a hair gel mix-up in “There’s Something About Mary” the ex-future-Mrs. Justin Timberlake had bills to pay. Of course, like any sensible person facing financial hardships, she decided to alleviate them by doing some light bondage. After she became famous, the photographer threatened to sell the footage unless Diaz paid him a fee for a “right of first refusal.” (Read: Blackmail.) Cammy sued in court and won, keeping the footage from ever being sold. Then, like everything that was ever forbidden, it wound up on teh internetz.
5. DAVID DUCHOVNEY

The obvious way to open here would be something related to the X-files, but we’re going to try to one-up that. Long before he spent his nights examining the paranormal with Scully, David Duchovney had other “Foxy” things on his mind. (Pulitzer please. Thank you.) The guy from “Californication” actually has a long history with the Showtime network, where he got his start on Zalman King’s erotic series, “Red Shoe Diaries.” While Duchovney usually only narrated the opening and end of each episode, he has a major part in the opening episode, and “Jake’s Story.” We want to believe.
6. ARNOLD SHWARZENEGGER

Rumors are a big part of the Internet, just as wire-rim sunglasses are a big part of David Caruso’s career. (More on him later) While there are many rumors of Kal-E-For-Nee-A’s Governor going gay-for-pay when he was younger, there is definite photographic proof of some of his other “artistic posing.” What colors this strangely, is Arnie posed for Alleged Pedophile Robert Mapplethorpe, and gay magazine “After Dark” in the 70’s. Some may call these early moves missteps for an aspiring conservative, we just call them business decisions.
7. MATT LEBLANC

We’re sure this guy has a lot of “Friends” but we never knew he had this kind. While he was starting out, the man better known as Joey worked on The Red Shoe Diaries as a randy delivery boy in NYC. The actor has famously declined comment in interviews, but after taking a look at all of his sexy poses, we have no idea why.

8. PERRY REEVES

The final addition to the team at Red Shoe Diaries, Mrs. Ari Gold from HBO’s “Entourage” did an episode of the erotic series on competitor Showtime. We’re not completely sure if her bosses at HBO care, (they don’t) but we do know that Perry has made it her mission to have the footage removed. Luckily for the world wide web, Showtime has great lawyers. She and Ari can always hug it out.
9. MICKEY ROURKE

It was the 80’s and people were doing a lot of crazy things. They were jazzercising, they were listening to Duran Duran, and if you were Mickey Rourke, you were doing pornography. In the mid 80’s a younger and less through-the-meatgrinder version of everybody’s favorite wrestler starred alongside Kim Bassinger in director Zalman King’s erotic romance, 9 ½ weeks. The film is one of the most successful erotic pictures ever made, and still holds a strong 67% rating at Rotten Tomoatoes.

10. KIM BASSINGER

You’ve got to hand it to Zalman King, for a guy who makes a living directing skin flicks he knows how to spot young talent. In our entire list, Zalman discovered almost half, and his final find for 9 ½ weeks was Academy Award winner Kim Bassinger. King has said “I started as an actor so I have a particular appreciation I guess for really talented people.” We guess he’s right. Congratulations to Zalman, for bringing the world Fox Mulder, Joey Tribbiani, Mrs. Ari Gold, Randy “The Ram,” and everything Kim Bassinger has ever been in.
11. DAVID CARUSO

Ok, we made this one up, but don’t tell us you wouldn’t want to see this opening to “CSI: Miami”
Someone: Horatio, can you believe that sexy mathematician slept with 32 men?
Caruso: Well, then I guess we can call her…(Glasses)…easy as pi.
Roger Daltry: YEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!

Blue Movies, Episode 2: Foreign Object
