Demo Data Creator is a WordPress, WPMU/MultiSite and BuddyPress plugin that allows you to create demo users, blogs, posts and comments.
The plugin gives you a new admin screen where you can enter some parameters, click a button and (after a short wait) random demo data will be created. The parameter options include:

Dummy Content Resources for Drupal

Devel Module
Devel is a suite of modules that generates dummy users, nodes, and taxonomy terms.
It also includes helper functions for Drupal developers and inquisitive admins. The module can print a summary of all database queries for each page request at the bottom of each page. The summary includes how many times each query was executed on a page (shouldn't run same query multiple times), and how long each query took (short is good – use cache for complex queries).
