That is when I thought of this list of what people insure. In particular what do people insure on their own person, you know legs, hands etc. I guess you can insure almost anything, as long as the mathematical statistics fall in favor of the insurance companies, they will more than likely insure anything.
How I arrived at my top ten list, is I went back into the archives. As I knew that the old Hollywood studio moguls used to insure their actors and actresses body parts in case they were in the middle of filming a movie and their main character got injured, thus delaying or worst cancelling filming the movie. So with that in mind I converted what each policy would be worth in today’s monies.
As you can see I have a picture of Gene Simmons of KISS as the lead in picture for celebrity insurance, because to me that is one iconic tongue and surely had to be insured. But alas I not only could not find it in the top 25, I couldn’t find it at all. So Gene if you’re reading this and indeed insured your wagging pleasure appendage, I will be happy to update the list. I will need verification though.
So without further adieu and lots of research I came up with the list top ten insured body parts of celebs:
10: America Ferrera, Actress: $10 Million Dollar Smile
9: Ken Dodd, Comedian: $10.6 Million Teeth ($6.2M in 1989)
