Design a Crystal Globe Concept over the Photoshop..

Want to reflect an image, and not quite sure how to? this quick and easy tutorial will you show you exactly how to, by using the best, most effective way possible. Hope this helps, Thanks for reading.

1) Open the image that you want to reflect. Making sure that is has no background colour. For demonstration purposes I will use a Globe.

2. Duplicate the layer

Your layers panel should look a little something like this.

3) Click On the “Layer 1 copy”, and hit Ctrl+T.

4) Right click and click “Flip Vertical”

5) Hold down shift and drag that picture downwards like the one above. (Shift ensures its still in-line)

6) Click on the layers mask button within the layers panel, whilst having this layer selected.

7) Add a gradient to the layer mask, by selecting the gradient tool (black to white) and dragging from bottom to top of the canvas, or what ever way you like to achieve the desired effect.

As a result, the black hides the part of the image, and the white shows it. So using the gradient is vital in this case.

8) make a selection on your canvas like the one shown above.

9) Make a new layer on top of everything else, and select the gradient tool and change the settings to match the ones above.

10) Create a gradient below the globe to match your liking. To achieve the effect below, drag from the middle of the two globes and lower the layers opacity to reduce the visibility of the gradient.

and WALLA! Finished product, Its not too hard. But nice and effective.
